  1. a blu ray disc player is a hi-definition dvd player. its 1000 bucks though. it takes special dvds that cost around $30-40. i wouldnt pay a ton of money extra to see a better picture. a normal DVD player works fine to me!

  2. dvd is lower quality..in a couple of years they will stop making them and you'll have to buy a blu ray. A blu ray stores much more memory in it and makes every look so detailed and clear. I recommend buying a ps3 which is the cheapest blu ray player and you can play games too and search the web=]

  3. Blu-ray is high def - it looks like the people on the screen are almost in the same room as you... seriously good!  But it's cheaper at the moment to buy a PS3 than a blu-ray - quality is the same, and a PS3 plays the same discs but it is a heck of a lot cheaper than a standard Sony player.  And, of course, you get to play the games too!

  4. blue rays hi def and dvd is regular.dvds are cheaper then blue ray discs
