  1. the big fear is that it would impact alcohol and pharmaceutical industries.  every beer you buy results in a little bit more money for lobbies against pot legalization.  then there is the huge enforcement budget.  and corrections.

  2. riot. imagine if everyone all at the same time was allowed to smoke weed.

i'm all for g*y marriages, but look what happened when that was legalized.

not that i don't think it should be legalized..

  3. I think the only down side would be "some" americans would have to adjust their way of thinking.  I believe it's safer than alcohol, and the only reason it's not legal is 1- they can't tell how much you've had and 2- they're not ready to tax it.

I don't see a major down side at all.  I'll bet if you rephrased the question to what are the upsides you'd be full of very reputable answers.

  4. Increased health problems. But even more so than now having marijuana illegal.

  5. every1 would be high all the time.... wait thats a upside. ummmm everybody would have really red eyes and eat alot thus leading to world hunger

  6. Unless a really strict pot DUI is set up, I think you get increased trouble on the roads.  And, otherwise, I'm actually in favor of legalization.  I just think they'd really have to make it one h**l of a penalty to deter driving and pot use.

  7. Saying to potheads that they're really okay, and having a nation of potheads instead of people on a noble level.

  8. It is a fact pot is a gateway drug . What is next..heroin & cocain at the local 7 eleven?

  9. hippies

  10. nothing at all

  11. Well none that I would know.

The only thing that might come up is that once people get enough with marijuana, they want to try something stronger and then advance to cocaine, amphetamine and stuff.

But there aren't any downsides with marijuana.

  12. it's been decriminalized in canada for a dogs age, and nothing changed. just a little less money in the coffers from fines, but a lot more from money not being wasted on trials and enforcement. cops are free to catch real criminals now.

  13. Because it is the #1 Gateway Drug. From experience I know that smoking pot leads to using more harmful drugs like cocaine. I never got into Crack or Meth but the Cocaine addiction is bad enough. I was able to drink beer and do Cocaine for three days in a row with no sleep. I finally went to bed when I started Tripping because of lack of sleep. In those 3 days I could drink 4 casaes of beer.

Pot is a lot less harmful than booze but you are always looking for that bigger high.

Economically speaking, pot would wipe out any national debt in two years but would kill more people than the Troops we've lost in Iraq.

    Chose your poison carefully!

  14. nothing really

i guess the white ppl fell alot more blacks on the street is a bad thing

    BALLINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

  15. seriously there would be no downside or differences to it cuz ppl do it anyways and marijuana is everywhere...!

EASY TO FIND, EASY TO CONSUME!

  16. More smoking, defeating the hard fought anti-tobacco campaigns.

    Increase in DUIs.

  17. It can make you a little crazy...
