  1. you could stay up all night, so the next day you will be tired earlier so that you wont sleep so late. and that might help get back to normal sleeping habits.

  2. I used to work night shift, 5 days a week then switch my sleeping back to normal for my days off. Easiest way I found was to go to sleep for a couple of hours say from 6am to 8 am get up when the alarm goes off and stay up for the rest of the day till about 9pm when I couldnt stay awake any longer. you'll sleep all night and wake up feeling real good the next morning.

  3. Jameson Irish Whiskey is your answer.

Take 2008 and subtract 1780 and you get 228 years.

If you've been doing something well for 228 years you shouldn't argue.

No, to be serious, you can try to slowly "turn back the clock" say: tomorrow you're in bed at 5 a.m. reading and have the alarm set for 5 p.m.

Day two, you're in bed at 4 a.m. reading and gave the alarm set for 4 p.m.

    Etc., etc., etc.

But, if 12 hours isn't cutting it, and you have some trouble with a reason to get out of bed - please ask your doctor if you can have a depression questionnaire.  You may have mild depression and your sleep patterns are disrupted from it.

  4. Well Devin, I wish I could tell you!  I have been this way since about 10th grade in high school.  Making school very difficult.  I started working 3rd shift jobs right out of high school, and have continued this up until now.  I'm 24.  I think some peoples chemistry just makes them this way.  Which kind of stinks because it seems the rest of the world revolves around daylight, which is over-rated in my opinion :)  The only thing that worked for me was boring myself to sleep at a descent hour when I was in school.  Maybe 2 or 3 in the a.m. then getting up and drinking caffeine like coffee, Mountain dew, Starbucks frappes.  Anything to keep my mind sharp while I was doing school work.  I hope things work out for you.  And I guess you could train yourself to change your schedule.  But I always fell right back into my old routine on the weekends.

  5. Well, it is going to take a few but, don't stay up until 6 in the morning. Start now going to bed at 10 or 11 at night and getting up at 6 or 7 in the morning and in a few days you will be able to sleep at night.

Alternatively you could stay awake and not go to bed at 6 am, stay awake all day and then go to bed 8 hours before school is going to start.

Also if you are needing 12 hours of sleep a day you should have a doctor check you out. 8 or 9 hours, yes but, 12 hours is a bit excessive.

  6. Go to bed at 5am, next morning, 3am, next morning, 1am, next morning 11pm.  Don't sleep more than 8 hours so that you're tired when you go to bed earlier then next morning.
