The scrubbing take a LOT of energy, and mopping only works on the floor, not so much the walls.... whats the easiest way for a good cleaning? I sometimes think of the shower cleaning items found at the store, but those are usually to keep it clean, not get it clean.... unless you know something I don't.....

  1. Use a long handled soft brush and some heavy-duty cleanser... be sure to wear gloves.  "Bref" or powdered "Ajax" works well.

If your shower is white, use bleach and let it soak for a little while before rinsing. Always ventilate the room and protect your skin and clothing!

  2. You can use a deck brush that they use on floors in restaurants, put a hand towel or t shirt over bristles that's's how workers spot clean behind equipment that can't roll out ,it works second best to scrubbing .I often use a hand held steamer for deeper cleaning then go behind by hand ,that's what I trust.

  3. Hire a Housekeeper :)

Just kidding.  Try Tilex Mold and Mildew.  The fumes are really obnoxious, but you just spray it on and rinse off later.  Depending how bad of shape your shower/tub is in you may need to reapply a couple of times but it really works.

  4. Your first problem is you went to a retail store.

You need a professional janitorial supply distributor for proper products.

We in the cleaning profession clean shower rooms like this:

A swivel scrub brush and a corner swivel brush  like the one pictured here:

along with a threaded handle and a good foaming shower room cleaner  like this one pictured here:

Dilute the foaming shower room cleaner,  using a foaming spray gun or foaming trigger sprayer, cover the walls with the diluted chemical cleaner.  Wait a few minutes, agitate with the handle and brush, get your corner brush and hit the corners and edges and then rinse with clean water.  Dry the walls off with a towel or squeegee.

Next ---> Then use a weak bleach solution (1 part bleach/ 4 parts water) and spray it on the shower walls and floor. This prevents mold and mildew growth and whitens grout and surfaces.

Do not rinse the bleach soution off until the next day.

Keep your shower curtain or doors open so that air can circulate and cause the water to dry quickly after shower use.
