  1. Run a 1 by 2 board behind it at the top and hang it like a picture but with two or three screws driven into wall studs.. Use a piece of carpet strip at critical locations on the 1 by- it has tiny, sharp tacks that grab the material in one direction.

  2. Well it depends on how you are displaying it really... and how big it is... see here

but 3M Command products can be used on some pretty heavy items, and no need for nailing or s******g. Their mounting and replacement strips may suit a tapestry.. have a look at their site that may help you  http://www.3m.com/intl/au/Brands/command...

  3. I usually just use a tack... it only makes a little mark and it is barely visible, but if you are really against that you can just go to the hardware store and buy one of those hooks that you stick on the wall and hang your tapestry from there.

  4. get those hooks that have the sticky stuff on the back and then when you want to remove them... they come off easy.

You can buy at hardware stores or builder supply stores.

Also, buy you some hooks that will clamp onto the tapestry so no hole are put into it either.   then hang from the clips onto the sticky hooks on the wall.

This make since to you??   LOL
