What's the fastest, most effective way to cure (or at least alleviate pain) mouth ulcers?

I've done mouth hygiene, any other ideas?

Gargling  warm salt water after hydrogen peroxide mouthwashes.

For pain, there's Orajel or Anbesol.  Any OTC gels that have clove oil in them.  If the ulcers don't clear up in a couple of weeks, go see the dentist, it may be a sign of a bigger problem if it's persistant.
