  1. salad bar

  2. Uhmmmmm, a "plate"?

  3. sweet chicken

  4. any kind of fish usually

  5. If I know that I will be having an all-you-can-eat-buffet, I usually skip the closest meal preceding it, that way, I won't be adding on to the "storage space" and I can really make the buffet "worth my while".

With that in mind, I usually go for the most expensive items in a buffet, things that I would normally never spend money on because it seems too extravagant, or items that are so tedious to prepare that I would rather pay someone to do it for me.

That would include: Salmon, Baked Mussels (with cheese), Crabs (especially if they are steamed with garlic), Roasted Loin of Pork, Roasted Chicken/Turkey/Ham, all types of Sushi/Sashimi (in a Japanese buffet), Caviar (if I'm lucky to have a buffet with it, I've tried it once).

And being Filipino, I CANNOT consider a plate "complete" without rice, so that will definitely be in mine, although I don't necessarily place it first.

As a veteran of buffets, I usually skip the salads, soups, bread and rolls, as I view them as "fillers", you can get full eating them but you won't be satisfied seeing the variety available!
