What's the freezing point for Fuel Benzen?

I'm looking for freezing point for Fuel Benzen which we use in our cars.

As I heared it's 5.5ْ C but when I tried to freez sample of Benzen in -22 ْ C its not working and it takes more than 3 hours.

  1. Pure benzene C6H6 has a freeze point of 5.5 C. Auto fuel is a mixture of various hydrocarbons, which includes some amount of benzene but also contains alkanes and aliphatic hydrocarbons. Depending upon your location auto fuel can also contain ethanol, MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether) and other additives to improve octane rating and reduce emissions.  All these components will lower the freezing point of the fuel.
