What's the function of Obama's Good Will Missions?

It's nice that Obama is going around the world to get support from countries like Germany and England, but what is the purpose of it? How is that going to gain him support in the US?

You forget a lot of Americans are based over here in Europe as well.

Americans should be grateful. Obama has shown that he is only another US politician, and nothing substantially will change under his leadership.

As far as the Obama World Wind tour...it seems that is what it was.  More wind....lofty platitudes with no substance.
