For example if you have 2 kids between the ages of 3 and 8, and you have a teenage babysitter (i.e. between 14 and 16), what would you be paying them per hour? Thanks.

  1. If it were just a teenager I'd say about $7 an hour unless it is longer than 5 hours straight..were you might want to pay them $9 an hour for the extra hours( I've done an 11 hour shift caring for three kids from 6 months to 6 and it was all night time..but I got a big tip so it was ok).

It seems like with the age gap, she will have to cater to both in different ways so take that into account when hiring( I>E surveying her capability) and paying her. Such as an Au Pair should be paid at least $10 an hour and an extra $5 for each additional kid( this is an experienced adult babysitter) while a teen should at least get $7 an hour, more if they are more experienced.

  2. $4.25 per hour

  3. if they are well-behaved and she lives relatively close by, about 6 dollars an hour is good. 5 dollars for a younger babysitter

  4. $7.00 per hour.  they're going to keep the teenager very busy.

  5. I pay $8/hour plus tip (I usually just round the number up). Remember.. you're paying someone to watch, take care & keep your kids safe while you aren't present. Anything under $7 is insulting.

  6. how pretty is this baby sitter

  7. here its $11.00 but that's like really good pay but normally its around 8-9 but if theres more then 1 kid you need to keep that in mind
