You know the people that you call when you buy a new house, the ones that look at your house and the condition before you buy it so they can make sure it isn't just c**p and doesn't have termites or mold or structural instability or anything? What's the job title of those people? Thank you!

  1. Could be a surveyor or a structural engineer.  It depends on what exactly they're doing.

    We had a surveyor who raised certain concerns so then we had to go a step higher to get a structural engineer to oversee some work and then certify it.


  2. Housing inspectors? I think the term varies from country to country.
