In the PDF file for the said camera, it doesn't actually say; instead giving a link to a page on the Fujifilm website; also not actually saying. I know that the maximum capacity for xD cards, (which the camera also uses), is 2Gb; but is it ACTUALLY the same for compact flash cards? Do you know? Do you HAVE the said camera with say a 4Gb card or even an 8Gb card installed and working? Would love to know for sure; thanks lots yahoo-ers! :) 10pts for proof, (2 links saying the same thing or something). :)

Oh one other thing, I'm in the UK, so if you're in the USA, the camera is known as the S9100; but for all intents and purposes it's still the same camera.

  1. I have never heard of any camera that accepted CF cards that could not take one of the high capacity cards. This question has been asked for several different cameras and the answer appears to be same. Your camera should accept any CF card on the market, up to 64GB. You only need to concerned when it does list a top limit. The limit on xD and SD cards applies only to them and has to do with the file format and technical issues associated with the higher capacity. I do not have that model, I have used an older Argus camera (circa 2003) that worked fine with the higher 4GB CF cards.

  2. The CF they are referring to is called the Microdrive which fits the a CF drive: here's a link that explains it:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microdrive

Here's a site that shows what the Microdrive or Compact Flash adapter used for your camera:

    http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital...

You can get a Microdrive upto 6 gb for your camera. Here's a site that has a table for it.

Hope this helps you understand it.
