  2. Good you are trying to read spanish Kate...

"La Biblia de Barro"  (Mud's Bible) is a very nice and interesting book.

Yes, I'm reading  now ...."The magic circle" by Katherine Nevill´.

You know me......I'm always reading some book.. I'm addicted to it

  3. I got two new books: 11 minutes & The Alchamist for Paoulo Coelho, doesn't he have the best style ever? Not much time 2 read them though. The last movie i saw was Harry potter since i had to do some analysis of the school for uni, it's very educational & your kids should watch it Kate, sends too many hidden messages

  4. i've been reading the twilight series (reading the third one right now). also the other boleyn girl and the poetry of pablo neruda. I've been wanting to read the last book in harry potter but for some reason i keep forgetting to get it. lol

  5. If you like Harry Potter, you might like "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Klay" (not sure if I spelled that right). It's a really good book about 2 friends who try to start a comic book, and its pretty long so it should keep you occupied. I loved it, and highly recommend it.

  6. I have read all harry potter books and I think that the tome 5 is the best one

anyway the best book I have ever ever ever read is "La chartreuse de Parme -Stendhal" (the charterhouse of Parma) and (L'assomoire - Emile Zola) --> I read french books more often

now I am reading "The pink Panther gets lucky but it is boring

N.B : they told me that there is a nice book called : Men are from mars and women from Venus

  7. reading......I remember that...good times....

The last book I read was during my Christmas break, I borrowed it from a friend:

" La prisonniere" by Malika something ( I think it's Oufkir).

It's a moving book that stays with you long after you read it.

It's the true story of a family imprisoned for 15 years by the king of morrocco, how they lived for 15 years and how they finally escaped. I recommend it to anyone who reads french and I'm sure there must be an english translation for it.

  8. LOL, the last thing i read was from like 6 years ago!

I dont have time to read anymore, especially when u work and u have a boring life :D

  9. hahaha me too i read the last of the harry potter series. it was pretty good i liked it, too bad there will be no more of his books coming out after that one

im about to start reading the twilight series by stephani myer, i have the first 2 books but i cant find the third ANYWHERE, i plan on reading them while im on the plane to the motherland

  10. I'm a harry potter fan as well!! the movies are nice but are a disappointment compared to the books...  they miss out on so many things!...

i actually read the last book on the day it was released... spent the whole day reading... and finished it the next morning!!!

Right now i'm not reading any books cause next week i have "brevet",.... so if i started reading .. i wouldnt stop... and hence would not study one bit

my parents actually have to personally grab the book out of my hands at night... cause i just LOVE reading!

so back to the subject.... i actually like fantasy books... like harry potter.... and the most AMAZING FANTASTIC BRILLIANT BOOK I"VE EVER READ IS,...... (drum roll) ...... THE BELGARIAD by david eddings...

it's a five book series... and the writer has such an amazing style in writing... and the characters are so different and so realistic... that i literally laugh out loud while reading....

which causes weird stares from onlookers... well actually they're not onlookers... just my family....

i've read the five books TWICE already... and i got them on new year 08!!

i was soo bummed that the series was over... and just last month i saw at the end of the book that there's another FIVE book series about the same characters...i can't wait for brevet to finish so i can get them!!

Anyway.. don't you just absolutely hate it when you finish an amazing book or series,... and you feel this hole in you as you close the book.... like the story didn't end and it should keep going.....

yeah and i'm sorry if i tend to blab a bit.....

  11. "Out  of the Ark " by  Rhoda Carswell

The biography of the most amazing man , my great , great uncle the Rev Sisag Manoogian  , who worked in Christian ministry in your area & beyond in the first half of the last century.

The one before that was " Once upon a time in Beirut " by Katherine Turner...amazing impartial view of Lebanon in the period leading up  to the '06 war !

    Harry Potter ?  mmmm
