    edit - completely misread the question.. i thought u asked what was the last team he coached before the 1980 Olympics because i was reading another question regarding the Olympics and didn't even notice the NHL part

  6. Pittsburgh Penguins. Craig Patrick, his old Team USA assistant was the GM in Pitt at the time.

    Patrick was also the GM in NY when Brooks got his first coaching gig with the Rangers.
