What's the latest on the govt's attempt to stop all non service connected disability pensions?

Hard to say. The Congress isn't going to do anything to actually put that into law--the Democrats wouldn't s***w our servicemen and women and the Republicans are scared to in an election year.

Note that McCain supports cutting off benefits to our veterans, though. Shows how much he really  supports the troops he wants to send to Iraq to  risk their lives.
