I went last Friday (Aug 15, it is now the 18th) and got a 150mg pill and the symptoms haven't decreased at all, if anything they have gotten worse. How much longer should I give the pill to work before going back to the doctor? The box states that symptoms should 'improve' by 3 to 5 days, so this is why i'm wondering as far as when they should be completely cured.

Also, this is my second dose. I took the first on Aug 6, the yeast infection went away then the next week came back. I'm adding this info because I'm wondering if my body has already built a resistance to the medication.

  1. Try over the counter treatment..and try seeing a doc after a week

  2. I would go see the doctor again as it may not be a yeast infection.  Also, i would at the very least eat some yogurt which contains good bacteria called acidophilis that helps get rid of yeast.  If you don't like yogurt, you can also take suppletments.  It's a cheap and easy way to keep yourself healthy down there and helps with your urinary tract as well.

  3. It's probably not a yeast infection.  Make an appointment and go to the GYN.

  4. Gosh you sound just like me!! I had exactly the same problem, I had to take it twice in a matter of weeks, and both times it took a week before symptoms cleared altogether, so dont worry. I havent had it since
