  1. What points are you referencing?  or... Do I get to choose?  Your question is open ended.  straight line...line of site.... curved...

    My choice...

I am starting at the equator traveling west and ending 1 mile from where I started.  Distance traveled is approximately 24,899 miles.

  2. the longest distance between two points on earth should be half way around the world on the equator. spinning on its axis causes the earths' equator to swell making a trip around  its middle slightly longer than over the poles along the meridian.

  3. 12756 km, going from one point on the equator straight down through the center of the earth to another point on the exact opposite side.
