Me and my boyfriend have been together for 3 weeks now and we both know that we want to marry each other. I was just curious to know how long it took for other couples... :)

  1. I wouldn't say knew that I "wanted" to, but knew that I "would".

    lol

the first time I ever met him.  we were in high school, I got stuck sitting next to him (last seat in the class), asked him a question about the assignment and he ignored me, so I tapped him and asked again.  and he just turns to talk to his friends.

and I think to myself "ugh!  I can't believe I have to marry this guy!"

and then, "brain?? what the h**l did you just say??"

so I flicked him to get his attention, we had a chat, turned out to be buddies, and progressed.

what do ya know we're engaged and getting married in a year and a half!

  2. The first time I made love to my wife and saw how truly beautiful she was, I knew I was never going to let her leave my sight.  1 month

  3. been together almost 5 years, 1 child later, in love with him but recently broke off our engagement b/c i wasnt ready!!

it all depends on the people and i wish you the best of luck!!

  4. My FI told me he loved me after 2-months and we started talking about the future shortly after that. We moved in together after 8-months of dating. We will be married at about 2-years of dating.

  5. two months into our relationship :) We are still only boyfriend and girlfriend, but I feel like we are married.

  6. We had been on line pen pals under anonymous names for at least two years before we started talking on the phone...after 6 months of that we met, finally, face to face.....

The first time I saw his face.....right there in front of me....of course I didn't tell him that, lol......before our first kiss even....I just knew.

we courted for one year before getting married....we'll be celebrating our second wedding anniversary soon.

  7. I knew I wanted to marry my husband l month after we met.

  8. We met in September, were "seeing" each other until October, had our first "official" date in October and became boyfriend/girlfriend, said I Love You before Thanksgiving, knew we were going to get married by Christmas!  That was when I was 16!  But on our 6th anniversary last year, we got married.  It makes me smile just thinking about it!

  9. 1 month and 1 week after our first date. It was our first kiss and I felt more at that moment then I'd ever felt before. And every time that I kiss him now it just reaffirms that thought.

  10. My fiance says the night he met me and he looked into my eyes he had a vision that I would one day be his wife. (We didn't start dating until 3 months after we met).

I knew I wanted to marry him after about 3 weeks into our relationship. We started talking about how we wanted to get married after we'd been dating 4 months.

We didn't get engaged until we had been together for over 3 years.

But it is funny because when you know...you really do know.

I hope it works out and you and your boyfriend get married one day.

  11. My fiance told me he was going to marry me someday either the first or second time we ever met. I told him to go away...he annoyed me =)

It took me a few years to figure it out. I'll never tell him, but he was always right.

  12. I think 3 months is to soon but I'm get married is sept we meet 2 year ago

  13. After the first year flew by without any major drama (fighting etc) like past relationships,  everything was just comfortable and smooth! I knew! Don't rush, don't over think anything just enjoy the moment and the feelings you both are sharing together and if it's meant to be it will be! Good luck Jen

  14. The moment I saw my second husband I was smitten - he was the most handsome man (to me); we married 6 months after we met.  Unfortunately, he died unexpectly 5 months after our wedding.

My current husband is a man I wasn't attracted to when I first met him; I became friends with him when he rented the upstairs of my house and got to know him that way.  We never dated but became lovers.  Marriage just evolved for us as we planned to be together (for over 10 years now).

  15. That really depends, it can vary for everyone. I think my fiance and I knew that we wanted to get married after about...1 year. 8/21/08 will mark 3 years for us. We're getting married 6/28/09. Personally, I believe that it's best to get to know each other before you settle down. Get to know each others family, likes and dislikes, interests etc. You have to know that you're compatible before making such a big decision.
