Question:

What's the main differences on a 99 bmw 325i compared to a 2000, or 2001?

I might buy one but I need to to know if i should go with a higher year or not. And would it be a good deal if I payed $6 for a 99 325i?

  1. The 1999 and 2000 E46 3 series are very similar. However, they were both badged as a 323i and used the M52TU motor (TU stands for Technical update) a 4 valve 6 cyl engine and was rated at about 170hp.

    The 2001 was badged as a 325i and used the M54 motor and produced about 184hp. The 2001 also has larger brakes, updated Dynamic stability control, as well as other nicer updated interior components.


  2. Pay more for a newer one, but be prepared these cars are expensive to maintain when they get of 60k miles!  Enjoy!
