What's the main message in Martin Luther King, Jr.: TO the Mountain Top PLEASEEEE HELP if you have read this!?

i have an essay due tomorrow about the main message in this book

obviously I know he was civily fighting for equal rights but I need to know the overall MAIN message in the book along with several different examples to back up the main message.

pleasee help! I'm so lost

  1. You should be able to google more information on this than almost anything.  If you been unable to find information, you may be referencing the wrong term.  "I have been to the mountaintop" is a statement made in the "I Have a Dream" speech.

    His main message in this speech was that he wanted to see an America where there was no distinctions at all between the races.  He wanted race (color) to be a non-event when a minority (of any race or color) did something wonderful.  He wanted people to be honored or dishonored for their actions, with race and color not being noticed at all.
