Is this SD870 worth the extra $100? I'm stuck between the two.

  1. I have both the SD870IS and the SD750, the main difference is that the SD870IS has image stabilization meaning it is possible to take photos without flash and without a tripod without blurriness due to camera shake (nobody has perfectly still hands). It is for this reason alone that I would recommend the SD870IS over the SD750. It also has a wide angle lens (if you place the two cameras beside each other to take a photo of a group of people, the SD870IS would be able to fit more people into the photo) which is a definite plus, since sometimes it's difficult to get a good group shot with a regular point and shoot camera.

The improvements come at the loss of the super slim rectangular body of the SD750, but the camera is still very compact and can fit in a pocket comfortably.

The $100 is definitely worth the amazing photos you'll be taking with the image stabilization and wide angle lens! :) Great choice.
