you can get married for less than $100 at a courthouse here in the States.  getting married is about you and your spouse, not a bunch of people.  what's the most important thing to you?

This completely depends on where you live and what kind of wedding you want. My wedding was 40K, I live in Mass...somewhere else the same wedding could have been 20K.

We spent less than $100 on our wedding including my dress and shoes.  We are just as married as those who spend thousands on their wedding but we are a lot happier because we didn't start out our married life with huge debts like all those others do.  

We got married on the bank of a lake.  It was June so the flowers we used were the flowers which were growing there.  We just left them growing and didn't cut even one.  We only invited a few friends and family and it was very casual.  If they showed up, fine.  If they didn't, fine.  No cake, no dance hall, no frills.  We were not trying to impress anyone but we ended up impressing everyone because it was such a beautiful day at such a beautiful place.  After wards we went to a restaurant for dinner---only those who wanted to go went, and everyone paid their own bill.

Our wedding was very beautiful in Gods splendid nature and I will remember it always.

you can make it as little as you want.

real basic would be wear ur jeans to registry office and get everyone to buy the own drinks at the bar.

if u want the whole wedding thing at a budget by second hand things, like look on ebay for dress, rent the tux's, the bridemade dresses etc.

get a friend to make the cake
