1. I've heard that in Mexico is about $4.50 dlls a DAY, plus benefits. Guess that Brazil and Argentina would be something around that. The rest, probably below that

  2. Colombia and Venezuela is way below Argentina, cause in Argentina there is some inflation since 2 years ago.

Avarage salary could say 1500 dollars per year and its cheaper the life.

    Richest countries in South-Central AMERICA: 1-Argentina, 2 Chile, 3 Uruguay, 4 Costa Rica, 5 Mexico,, 6-Belize, 7 Brazil, 8 Colombia. 9 Panama...

  3. Again bogotaco has it right.. the others are way to low...my step son lives in Cali and 500 to 1000 is a good average

  4. I believe they have good salaries. I have an Argentinean friend, from Buenos Aires. She works in Aerolineas Argentinas, which is the national airline. Even though, it was bought by the Spanish. She says they have good salaries. I don't know in other Latin American countries but I think Argentina and Brazil are the most developed countries in the region. Chile has improved a lot lately. The rest, they need to work hard to make their economies stronger.

  5. Avg colombians make between 500 and 1000 dollars a month.

  6. Argentina would probably be about US$5,000 per year

    Colombia closer to $2,500

Venezuela is tricky, it is probably lower but the high level of state oil revenues makes citizens live better than in other countries without as much oil.. It's probably close to $3,000 or so, but the GDP per capita is much higher.

Interestingly, I saw a book from the 1940's on Latin America and they had a chapter on Venezuela and its economy and the author was saying that the salaries were astoundingly high and a secretary could make US$4,000 per year. After 60+ years and a lot of worldwide inflation, they may even make less in nominal terms today.
