Question:

What's the minimum experience/knowledge needed for any IT related job?

I'm taking a Linux Administration class at my local CC. I have experience in an office environment and a few years of customer service and clerical under my belt, as well.

I should be receiving an Associates in Web Development and Japanese studies some time next year and I plan to transfer into a CIS program at a 4-year university. I'm sure I will get a good job after all of this, but I NEED a decent job now.

I know I can't publish my entire resume, but with what I said above, is that good enough to even get a lowly IT job that will pay the bills? I'm so tired of retail and restaurants.

Thanks!

  1. you need a graduation degree + 1 year diploma or Bachelor in Computer science for lowly IT job. or for call center you will need only good communication skill.

  2. Yes you should be able to get a job , if not as en employee , get in as a trainee , that experience will also count.

You can also register at freelance websites like http://getafreelnacer.com/ , http://scriptlance.biz/ , http://eufrelance.com/ , etc and start bidding for all web designing projects posted there , initially bid as low as possible .
