What's the most I can take out of an ATM in Spain?

If I go to the cash machine in the street here in Britain, it'll probably offer to let me take out up to £200 in one go, some of them £300.

If I were in spain, what is the maximum amount of euros the machine is likely to offer me to take out in one go?

Don't worry, I'm not a mad spendaholic, I need to know for a story I'm writing.

  1. I have found that it varies from place to place, but a good bet would be that most locations would let you get out 200 to 300 Euro.  You really need to check with you bank to be sure on there foreign daily withdraw limits.

Added - You may also be able to increase your daily withdraw limit if you're a high roller and often need to access greater amounts of cash. I had that done for a temporary period a few years ago during a big European vacation.

  2. The internet site of your bank should have that info, it is different for each bank and sometimes even with different customers within one bank.

For my bank it is € 750 per day, and no more than 3 transactions per day, (however little I get per time.)

I am Dutch, so this is the amount I can get with my Dutch card.

I am not sure all machines do these amounts.

In the Netherlands I can get only € 250 per time and only one time per day if I go to an other bank than my own, maybe there are restrictions like that for you bank card too.
