I mean like THE PRETTIEST EVER! The kind of pretty that makes you feel warm and want to cry or something. My place is Cuchara Valley in Colorado.

Please try to find a pic to go with your answer, and nothing nasty please.

  1. I love to travel, but unfortunately have not had the opportunity to leave the country yet.  Within the US I have found Sedona, Arizona to be about the most beautiful place I have ever seen.  Several points along Pacific Coast Highway, Yosemite, and Mount Ranier also rank among my favorites.  There are some very scenic, gorgeous areas down south around Tennessee and Kentucky as well, but overall I feel as though the best scenery in the US is westward.

  2. The highlands of Papua New Guinea.  The only thing prettier is the landscape PLUS the people who live there.

  3. Jamaica is very pretty

  4. The Annapolis Valley and the Bay of Fundy coast in Nova Scotia.  Pastoral and coastal scenery in a peaceful atmosphere that is seldom found in so many other picturesque  parts of the world.

  5. Bellagio, Italy.  I love when the mountains meet water:

  6. It would have to be the Butchart Gardens in Victoria British Columbia Canada. I have traveled all around the world and seen many a place from the Middle East to the smallest of Caribbean Islands and nothing takes my breath away quite like this place does. It is gorgeous in any season and filled with every style of garden, trees and flowers. To me it is heaven on earth.

  7. San Torrini, Greece

  8. Ew!

    Colorado!

    yuck i hate that place.

    hahah no offense, though.

    florida.

since it's the only place i remember :]

    haha.

  9. New Zealand! Tranquility, green, and romantic.

    (Both are in Otago region.)

  10. I've travelled a lot and seen some pretty spectacular things; it's hard to choose.  Three that have really stuck in my mind are:

Dún Aengus, the Iron Age fort on Inishmore (the largest of Ireland's Aran Islands).  I was there on a brisk April day, when it was all but deserted.  Beautiful and chilling:

India was one of the most stunning places I've ever been; I haven't found any one picture that captures the exotic beauty of the areas I visited, but these pictures from the Keoladeo bird sanctuary (near Bharatpur) bring back fond memories of red dragonflies and blackbucks:

I also spent a year living in the city of York, UK.  For a girl from the Philly suburbs, I never could get used to living in a medieval walled city, with a massive Gothic cathedral and twisty, winding streets (not to mention a flooding river, the annual Viking Festival, and random cat statues hidden all over the city).  The Yorkshire countryside is stunning as well--I would move back there in a heartbeat.
