I'm going to the Loire Valley and I want to choose a charming city in the region to book a hotel. I'm going to stay there for some days and I like that feel of small towns that are lively, with nice places to eat, drink, etc. To give a reference, I loved Bruges in Belgium or Siena and Sirmione in Italy. Anybody could help choose the city?

  1. Blois or Angers....

  2. I personally like the cities of ANGERS and BLOIS.

  3. we stayed in Saumur it is a interesting old town. It is a good base to tour the Loire region see it here http://www.a-taste-of-france.com/saumur....

  4. Angers is a really nice city, with a lot to visit (castle, cathedral, distillery of Cointreau, Tapestry of the apocalypse, tapestry of Jean Lurçat...), and also a lot of pubs, restaurants...

The country outside Angers is really nice, with small villages near the Loire, it's great to eat fishes in a guinguette, watching the sunset on the Loire !

  5. I would advice you Angers, or Saumur, these are pretty cities
