What's the most comfortable, attractive and economical (!) brand of high heels (shoes or sandals) out there?

I want to wear high heels because my legs tend to get swollen and look chunky by night. When I wear heels my calves are stretched out and look a lot better. But high heels have always killed me, they're so friggin' painful!!! Is there a good comfortable brand at the department store or online that I can get for less than $100? Is there even such a thing as comfortable high heels? Thanks! Oh by the way I have wide feet, my size is 7 1/2 Wide.

Yes!  Athena Alexander shoes.  You can find then at Nordstrom.  I'm a hairstylist and I stand on my feet all day at work and these are the only heels/wedges that I can wear for 8 hours straight!  The sizes run a little small, so I always have to buy one size bigger than I'd normally buy, but they're well worth it and so cute!

I would suggest you wear size 8 if you can't find wide sizes, that is what i do, cuz my feets is wide too!  I've heard of Aerosoles, but not really sure if they will do the trick, last pair I owned were flats.  THey are also a little pricey.

If your legs get swollen , heels will defenatly agravare that and make it alot worse ....sorry there is no comfortable high heel . Just get used to wearing flats and be comfortable , why go anywhere and be in pain ?...kinda ruins the fun , be yourself .

i love talbots shoes. theyre heels are wicked comfortable and they have great colors. they do tend to be expensive though but u can find them on sale at an outlet or online at the end of a season (like now)
