What's the most efficient way to learn every note?

I don't want to know the fastest way. I can take as long as I need to. I just want to be able to recognize notes when I hear them because I understand that's an important skill. So can someone help me by providing me with an efficient path to Note Recognition?

I wish that you would have said what instrument that you are learning......I teach classical and acoustic guitar and not many people can recognize every note on the guitar just by hearing it, maybe you can tell a D from a C but to know where every note, including sharps and flats are played takes many years of practice......especially in what pitch....like which C am I playing on the guitar, as you know there are lots of C's..... ( which fret is it in, the pitch )....take the C for example, there are many of them on the guitar and to be able to tell which one is being played takes years of practice or perfect pitch !!!!!!!!!!! One way of recognizing every note on the guitar is by practicing scales up and down the whole fret board daily !!!!!!!! I hope that this helps, and that I understood what you wanted to know !!!!!!!!

Note recognition as in Aurally?!?! Just takes practise! There is a way to do it by colours! One colour is assigned to each note and you train your brain to 'see' that colour when the note is played! I don't know how successful this is though! Just takes practise and time at a piano listening and playing!

practice ur scales

like not just one scale but lots of them

i hav a book and each scale starts on a different note with a different key signature and it still kinda sound the same just higher or lower. theres all kinds of scales.

well,to be REALLLYYYY good at that, you have to expose yourself to various kinds of music and play musical instruments quite often.

its a gruelling task but by the end of the day, youll be able to even transcribe a song/piece after one hearing =]
