  6. oh man you wouldnt beleive what happend to me when me and my family went to china.

We went to this restaurant and we just chose something on the menu which they said was their 'so called specialty' And the gave us frogs, rabbits and snakes. Urgh, we payed and left. We had to eat cup noodles instead. Next time im going to a no-english place, im hiring a tour guide!!!!

And there was this time when my dad wanted hot nodles, so he drew a bowl with noodles in it. The chinese showed up to the bath tub! Lol.

But chinese are so nice and homey. I luv them so much!

  7. Escargot....sauteed in butter with shallots,galic & white wine...were delicious!

  8. i dont know.  i think maybe frog legs.  It taste like chicken if not better

  9. I would say the most exotic food I have eaten is turtle. I also eat elk, emu, moose, rabbit, dear, buffalo. All very good.

  10. At an Hawian B B Q where all the food, vegetables and a whole pig is put into a hole in the soil, that has had pre heated stones and wood placed in first, then wet banana tree leaves and or coconut tree leaves.Followed by the food wrapped in wet muslin and leaves again , and left all day to cook. IT WAS FANTASTIC the best bbq food that I have ever tasted in a holiday.

  11. snails, blood sausages of all kinds, pigs feet.

    It's all good!

  12. Escargot! My teacher made it in French class. It was pretty good with the garlic and bread.

  13. rattle snake yuk!

  14. sushi

  15. Taco bell.

  16. earthworm with vinegar and roasted mouse..

  17. I would have to say "balot", which is a fertilized duck or chicken egg with a nearly-developed embryo that is boiled and eaten in the shell. Although, to be honest, I've never really gotten myself to actually eat the baby chick, the juices were actually tasty and the egg yolk tasted like any other boiled egg. :)

  18. just frogs.

  19. Rose Petal Jam with saffron & edible gold leaf!

  20. goat curry...it wasn't bad, but not something I'd eat everyday

  21. Tough to pick just one, but I think #1 takes the prize....

    1. Monkey p***s Soup, s**+ Dao, Shandong Province, China - March 2006

    2. Stir Fried Fruit Bat, Miri, Malaysia - January, 2007

    3. Dog Stew, Ulsan, Korea - September, 2007

    4. Bear Paw Consomme with Gold Flakes, Chicago, 1992

    5. Braised Stork, Guangzhou, China - May, 2007

    6. Fish Bladder Stew, Guangzhou, China - May, 2007 (Same meal as the Stork... ate lots of steamed rice that night).

    7. BBQ Scorpion, Dalian, China - June, 2007

Crayonsu... I've also tried Balut... You are right... Sounds worse than it is, but the beak and feathers got to me a bit.

  22. One of the MOST RELIABLE exotic foods is the Polish pierogi from Costco.  I know they are frozen and they are not as good as home made but they are GREAT!  They really are.  The pierogies are potato and onion.  I had some yestarday, finished off what was in my freezer, and they're on my next Costco shopping list.  Oh YUM!
