In Hong Kong I had a Shark Fin dish, in Alaska I've eaten Salmon eggs, I've eaten cow's tongue, that's about all I can think of at the moment.

How about you?

  1. Well, I can't say its too strange, but Osterich, Crocodile and Kangaroo in Australia.

  2. emu-tastes like a cross between liver and steak

    shark-tastes like salmon

buffalo-just like beef but not as juicy

    frog legs-not so great

    snails-yummy

    caviar-very salty

grape leaf pickles-saltiest thing I ever eaten!

    I'll try anything once

  3. THAI FOOOOOOD MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM yummmmmmmmmmmyyyyyyy

  4. China. Jellyfish. They are nasty. The thousand year old eggs are good though. They are a dark greenish color but quite delicious.

  5. I've tried snake once...not bad when you don't know what it is. Also, we grew up eating blood pudding, which I used to love until I found oiut there was actually quite a bit of blood in it..now I can't eat it.

  6. Although I did not try it, When I lived in England I knew of a family that ate the placenta ( made like chopped liver or patae) as an honer when a child was born. I have also tried, jellyfish, sea cucumbers (slugs) caterpillars, ants, beatles (not the band!) rattle snake, and blood sausage.

  7. Pickled green (as in unripe) mango with rice. It's actually really good. It doesn't taste like pickles that are, you know, cucumbers pickled in vinegar. In India it's made by marinating the mango slices in oil with lemon juice and different spices. Extremely spicy if it's made right, and it's only eaten in small amounts. I've had other types of pickles too but mango pickle is my favorite.

I've also had frog legs and snails, which are both really good.

  8. As you know, here in France we eat strange things.... (though they are not stange to us!) So cow's tongue is very common, of course snails and frogs legs (mainly eaten around Christmas time) and horse meat. I also had shark, which is very nice, ostrich and I had kangaroo once but did not like it very much. Have you ever tried lamb's brain? My mum used to serve it fried when I was little. I used to hate it!
