My EFC is 0. Therefore I'm just wondering what's the most financial aid you can receive during the summer. The most you can receive each year is $4,310. So each semester [fall/spring] is $2,155 therefore would summer be half of that or the same as fall and spring ??

THANKS for the help.

  1. if you got $2,155 last fall (fall 07) and the same this spring (spring 08) then you would have used the max amount of your pell and would not be able to get Pell this summer.  (This does not mean you couldn't get a loan).

If you did not get this much the two previous semesters, then you may still have some pell eligibility left.  (You didn't attend during one of these semesters, for example).  If that was the case, yes you would get half of the $2,155 if you went full time (6 hours or more) during the summer.

PS Some schools use summer as the beginning of the fin aid year, if this is the case at your school, you could get Pell because you have not used it yet (for Fall 08 and Spring 09).  Check with your school to be sure.
