  1. The most popular newspaper in terms of sales is La Tribuna, it is published out of the capital city of Tegucigalpa, and therefore enjoys a larger reading public. It is also the most sensationalistic newspaper, covering a broad range of topics from the political, to the social to just blaintantly exploitative "tabloid" subjects.

With regards to true journalism, the most complete newspaper is El Heraldo, which is a close second in sales, it has the best writers and publishes some of the best investigative journalism pieces that you´ll find in the country.

Also, as is the case in most countries, newspapers tend to be biased to one or another political party, la Tribuna bieng a left wing newspaper which sides more with the Liberal Party, which is currently in control of the country, and El Heraldo is a more conservative publication leaning towards the Nationalist party.

El Tiempo and La Prensa are the other two mayor newspapers in the country published out of our second largest city San Pedro Sula, but they are mostly sold in the northern section of Honduras and don´t have the same relevance in the rest of the country.

  2. I think the most popular one is La Prensa

Then you have EL tiempo and La Tribuna.  But it's different in each city so it's hard to say.

  3. To be honest I feel that both Newspaper LA TRIBUNA and LA PRENSA are very good. However they are more based on regions. For example, La Tribuna has a lot of news from Tegucigalpa (capital) than La Prensa which cover alot from San Pedro Sula (North).  El Tiempo isnt very popular, but people read it because their seems to be many "el tiempo" of every central american country.
