Maybe an internship? Or a job that could relate to your prospective field?

  1. study in foriegn countries.

I will study in philippines and comeback here in US:)

  2. You didn't mention with state... but be wary.

You need to be working full time to support yourself becuase most states have a "self supporting" clause in the laws to be legal residents.  Be very careful when trying to do this... many people have tried to get the in-state rates and most have failed.  If you are under 24, it will be even harder.  Simply living in the state won't always make you a resident.

  3. work and save money - ideally work a job in the field you are interested in, to see if you are truly cut out for it. If you don't need money, then volunteer.
