My West Highland Terrier is always going in the long grass and when I pet him afterwards he has these little blue insects attached to his skin. We've been putting Bob Martin Spot On on him religiously but the ticks keep coming back. Any ideas of what to do? x

  1. You can treat a dog for ticks & it will take care of the tick on the dog but if you let them back out into an infested area they will just bring more into the confines of your home.

  2. There's no doubt about it, ticks are nasty little buggers. Any creature that attaches itself to your skin and sucks your blood is high on the list of things you want to avoid. Worse yet, ticks present a health risk for both dogs and humans.

  3. there is an Advantage now that kills ticks as well as fleas.  get it at your vet. i use it on both my dogs and neither one has had ticks/fleas.
