My vote would go to Oregon, it's beautiful and few people know how beautiful it is. Columbia River George rivals the grand canyon in natural beauty.

Are there any other states that are well-kept secrets?

  1. Yes, the New Jersey Turnpike, its smell is glorious and the swamp it has destroyed for its existence is quite beautiful!

  2. Arkansas.  A friend of mine from Colorado visited once and he was amazed at how beautiful it was.  He had the impression that it was flat (I guess because of Kansas).  Northwest Arkansas - Fayetteville- is the place to be.  It's growing like crazy.  There is culture, nightlife, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, devil's den where you can explore caves, camping, shopping, plenty of dining options... just about anything you want!

Hot Springs National Park is also nice.  There is an amusement/water park, 3 surrounding lakes, art galleries..  plus everything mentioned above.

  3. Conneticut is amazing i go there every year! It's so clean there they also have great food!

Michigan is bad in some places but if you go to Traverese City it's beauitful there! The water is crystal clear at the beaches! You could even stay at there Great Wolf Lodge Resort it's awesome for everyone in the family!

  4. Idaho. It's breathtaking.

  5. New Mexico - it's beautiful and peaceful

  6. Ohio if you are a roller coaster junkie like me.  They say that Florida is the theme park capital of the world.  but the truth is that all the good roller coasters are in Ohio.  We have parks that have one or two coasters, but in Ohio, there are parks that have 20-30 big cool coasters that put ours to shame!

Plus, there are other cool things to do there like the rock and roll hall of fame and the flats.

  7. The Missouri Ozarks have a lot of attractions.

    Branson has become little Nashville.

There's the Lake of the Ozarks.

    There's quite a few wineries along I-44.

There's the original Bass Pro Shop in Springfield.

Many state parks along beautiful rivers.

There's the Precious Moments Chapel near Carthage.

  8. I think people are catching on to Oregon.  Every 3rd person I meet anymore is looking at moving there.

I vote for Utah.  I was very surprised when I went there how beautiful it was.  There are a bunch of National Parks with absolutely breathtaking scenerly.
