What's the music scene like in France?

Question

I'll be living in France for a year and, I love rock, but I am also interested in raves, electronic music and pretty much anything good. I'll probably be living in Lille, if thats important. Are there any big rock festivals in the autumn and/or spring? (My job will last from mid September till June). Is there any place in the area where I'll be able to take electronic music/ music technology/ music production/dj classes? Thanks!

lucky bet man, Lille is a stone throw from belgium which offers one of best electro clubs in Europe.....HUGE.

i think you'll be happy, you can find all type of music in Paris, and maybe music you'll don't know
