  1. Bunni gave you a nice recipe for pesto sauce, great on angel hair pasta, but not good with tortilla chips.

Not salsa Verde.  Which as noted above is indeed made with tomatillos - sometimes with cream or sour cream - sometimes not.

  2. Um....it's probably Salsa Verde (Green Salsa).

I think it's made from some hot peppers like Jalapenos.

  3. Salsa Verde...they have it where I work too

  4. I alway's called it green sauce, but here is the recipe -

1 can of salsa verde (little white can found in the Hispanic food aisle at most grocery stores)

1 small plain yogurt or sour cream

1 package of premade gaucamole - or could make your own, but the pack is easier

make sure you massage the package of guacamole till it is lump free, dump in a bowl add the salsa verde then use the same amount of yogurt (or sour cream), I just dump it in the can of salsa verde to make sure it is an equal amount - mix all ing. together - serve cold - mmmmmmm

  5. If you are in West Texas it is probably Tapito Sauce.  Very tasty.  You can find the sauce with the salsa and taco seasoning in the grocery stores.

  6. Jalopeno or Habenero. Sorry about my spelling.

  7. Probably salsa verde which is generally made with pine nuts, basil, grana padano (parmesan) cashew nuts and spices.

But there are some variations. You could always ask the waiters!

Why all the thumb downs? :(

  8. Salsa Verde

  9. I was in a restaurant that served this (not seen it in any others)...it's a mixture of Mexican crema, avocado, tomatillo, and jalapeno or other chili (I asked!!).

I don't know if this is the one you're thinking of, but it sounds like it.

Other salsa verde doesn't contain avocado.

  10. verde, made with tomatillos
