As kids it was so much fun to blow on them and watch them float away. Soon all that's left is the stem. Can't think of the name for the life of me!

  1. Dandelions

  2. Dandelions.

The white fluffy things are the seeds.

They are sometimes called dandelion clocks because you are supposed to be able to tell the time by the number of blows it takes to blow all the seeds off.

The name dandelion comes from the french "dent de lion" or lion's tooth, because of the pointy edges of the leaves.

In Liverpool they are known as "pee the beds" because there was a belief that if you picked dandelion flowers you would wet the bed!

You can eat the leaves in salad, and actually they are a diuretic (they make you pee).
