There's some scenes I can remember from the LAW AND ORDER CRIMINAL INTENT episode. Detective Alex Eames (Kathryn Erbe) is at an house talking with a middle-aged woman (presumably in her early-to-mid 60s) (presumably armenian, jewish, or lebanese). A school bus stops in front of the house, the woman goes to the door and a young teenage boy (presumably her nephew) walks through the door and hugs her, the teenager (who looks a little like Jonah Hill from SUPERBAD) says to Alex "Hi I'm Jimmy!", Alex says "I'm a friend of hers", and Jimmy the teen says some things out from a cartoon or television and walks away. He returns and says to his aunt "I'm hungry now! Can I have something to eat?". In the next scene, Captain Ross (Eric Bogosian) explains that Jimmy is a mentally disabled kid taken away from his parents. It becomes obvious to me that the kid is a special needs student probably due to his intellectual disability, at the school he goes to (probably a BEST BUDDIES student or whatsoever). In the end, the father confesses to murdering the woman who was responsible for removing his son from the family and taken into care by someone else.

What's the name of this episode? It was on yesterday afternoon probably around 3-4 pm or so.

  1. Man, I know I saw that one a while back.  I searched all over, but couldn't find it.  Wasn't the boy's father a politician or scientist involved in a political or religious debate with another man?  He killed him or the wife because of something he said about the boy during the debate?  He gave the boy to his mother or the housekeeper to raise?  If I can think of it, I'll come back with the answer.

    EDIT

Was it the one with Tom Arnold?  Brother's Keeper?  I checked the Yahoo TV listings and that was the only one even close in time or description.  Are you in the US?  Do you remember what channel you were on?
