What's the name of those weird machines...?

That you often see in cartoons? It usually has something like a candle burn a string which drops a weight onto a bladder which set a fan in motion that winds a string that pulls a trigger that fires a bullet that pops a balloon which drops an iron.....on and on to end up doing something like crack an egg.

I know there's a term for it, I just can't remember.
