1) about two families one is poor and the other is not poor. I can remember there was a fuss about some missing Leeks and a leek soup in one of it's episodes

2) Story of a family father is a dentist has two sons and a daughter. Younger son goes to school and the elder one is a bit stupid

i think the first one is Good Neighbors ( of the Good life as it was called in the UK)-- the Goods  ( tom & barbara)

were  self Sufficient-- that is they grew their own food/made their own clothes- they wanted out of the 'rat race"

their neighbors were upper middle class jerry & margo

the second one is My family with the great Robert Lindsay and Zoe Wannamaker
