What's the next step for Michael Phelps?

I was just wondering what the next step for a guy like Michael Phelps would be. I mean he won 8 gold medals. Does he have anything else to accomplish? In sports like swimming/diving/kanoeing is there really anything else to accomplish? What happens to those Olympic gold medalists?

His next step is London 2012. He also is selling some sports equipment like swimming suits. And if you watched the Beijing closing ceremony, he was in London doing like an on-stage interview in honor of the passing-of-the-torch to London. It'll sure be exciting to see him swim there in 2012.

he is young but who cares he is a legend already , i think it will be off to beverly hills , expensive booze , feet up , many hot girls , back massages etc.............. hot tubs............ nothing more to achieve , he is the best there ever has been , how can you top that besides its better to burn out than fade away, and being at the top means there is only one way to go and thats down
