  1. I forget.

  2. I dropped my land phone.  That worked.  There's really no need to have one, just use a cell.

  3. www.donotcall.org

  4. We used to get calls all the time, but the phone company suggested that we get a new number and have it unlisted. We still get the random call, but its like 1 call every few months, most of those places are on computer dialers so there is no total way to make it stop. I used to answer and ask them to hold on a minute and put the phone down and walk away, one lady waited like ten minutes. I hung up on her.

  5. do not call.gov is the correct answer, and you can use this for your cell phones too. It takes up to 30 days for it to go into effect and needs to be updated every 3 years. Pass it on.

You can also get what is called Privacy Director from your phone company, this will stop telemarketers from calling your house  as well. It costs about $7.95 plus tax... or you can purchase it where it is included in a plan.

  6. In Australia it's ...

and they can get fined if they do after you register.  It takes about a month before you get results, then it works quite well.  We have had just a couple of auto calls slip through in the last year, but 97 - 98% improvement.  We sometimes used to get several a day.

Sorry, but I only know the Aussie one.

  7. go fill out the form online here:

    https://www.donotcall.gov/

  8. oooh! the no-call list number.. I really want to know this too!

  9. Just go here and register your phone number.

    https://www.donotcall.gov/

  10. https://www.donotcall.gov/

    or

Tell them to take you off their list. If they call you again, you can get them in trouble.

  11. The Federal Trade Commission will continue to remove telephone numbers that have been disconnected and reassigned to other customers. Consumers can delete their telephone numbers from the registry at any time by calling 1-888-382-1222 (TTY 1-866-290-4236) – the call must be made from the telephone number they wish to delete.*

  12. You don't call anyone, when they call you, just say "please take me off your calling list".
