  1. Windows Vista

  2. fail, flop.....

  3. Fail?

  4. "Fail" would be the most extreme term, as it indicates the total inability to meet a target or pass an examination.

So would be "not to make the grade".

"Under achieve" would describe the failure to meet one's potential, as would "under perform".

"To fall short of the mark" indicates that one has achieved something  but it not all that was expected.

According to the dictionary the antonyms of "achieve" are "abandon" "give-up"or "fail".

  5. Fail

    Under-achieve

    Under-perform

    Flop

  6. Fail

    Miss (the target)

  7. I think 'not trying' should be opposite of achieve.

And not 'Fail'  because when you fail you achieve something (some experience, knowledge etc) but when you do not try then you simply do not 'achieve' anything..

  8. fail i would think

  9. To "unachieve", my interpretation of the word "achieve" is to successfully fullfill a task or want or desire, to unachieve this would simply be the opposite. "Un" being the aproripate proffix.

  10. under achieve

  11. FAIL

  12. More than to fail: to lose.

  13. lose
