  1. Like playing the lottery> If your number comes up>

  2. According to the latest figures I can find (up to 2001), the chances of a fatal or serious accident on a British fairground are 4.3 x 10 -8 (Can't do a superscript) or about 1 in 2,325,581 every time you ride.  To put that into perspective, if you walk to the fairground, you're 12 times more likely to get killed on the walk than when you actually get there!

  3. Slim to none.............

Fatalities related to amusement rides average two per year according to a study commissioned by Six Flags, over 319 million people visited the parks each each.........

  4. The percentage is minute - the VERY rare accidents make good newspaper headlines - you are more likely to be killed crossing the average main road.
