What is the point of supporting an out-of-state football team (example: You live in Chicago and support the eagles). Because of where you live, you can't watch all of your favorite teams games (please don't say get the NFL ticket on Direct TV, some people can't afford that). So what's the point?

  1. that would suck. but u lik who u lik

  2. The point is that you have pride in your team.  Who cares if you can't see all their games... you can still love 'em, their history, their traditions, their players, etc.

Just because you don't get to watch them play (49ers are my team, and they're almost NEVER on national TV nowadays) doesn't mean you can't support them.

  3. if your a REAL fan you pull for them no matter what!!!! period piont blank!!!

  4. Believe it or not, people used to root for teams out of their area long before the internet, satellite TV, ESPN, etc.  When I started watching football, not even all games were televised.

I went to Penn State and still root for the team even though there were entire seasons I missed due to being in the Navy and now officiating football on Saturdays.  I'm lucky if I get to see a game or two every season but I still root for them.

Remember, fan is short for "fanatic"

  5. if it's a good team, then u can see many of the games, nat tv... i am out of town from my favorite team the patriots and i get to see many games... if your team is not good, well then u just have to watch highlights or read the paper...

  6. I have no clue,  I guess you can watch them play online. some one usually post games on youtube or google video. Some sports stations also have streaming video online. Some people also post the game on torrents or other file sharing sites.

It not to hard to watch games online.

  7. Well, for the ppl that cant afford it, they could go to a freinds house, or heck maybe they have to go to certain bars. But, if you have a fav. team out of the state, if you are a true fan of that team, then your going to stick to that team no matter where you live. Lol, someone who switches fav teams isnt a fan at all, or doesnt know a thing about football.

  8. I worked Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays for a couple years and never saw any of my team's games. Should I have just not been a football fan according to your logic? No I watched sportcenter until I got a better schedule. I wish I could see every game, but I can't and still stay a loyal fan.

  9. ! i was looking for the hall of fame game yesterday..

    to watch it online

and i found this website called Justin.tv

Its just a lot of people who have a channel..

and some people will air their local sports game.. during the season

so if someone in philadelphia has a channel, the game will be on, everywhere, online

=] I'm a Dolphin fan.. looking forward to the loses Online.. haha

oh!, and i heard the olympics are gonna be available on there to :)
