I don't understand why someone would have one as a pet they are not good bonded companions like cats or dogs. They can't love you, so why would anyone want one...they're useless animals that are only good for killing mice and bugs.

  1. Snakes are much better off in the wild where nature intended them to be........they are not like dogs that have become domesticated over thousands of years.

They do us a service by being in the wild controlling the rodent population.  I would rather see a snake in the woods than in a glass cage for the rest of it's life.

  2. Snakes are awesome....beautiful......interesting...... could teach u some stuff!

  3. well... some people think dogs are too. I have a dog... 2 kittens... 2 fish tanks(one with 5 fish and one with one fish) and a 2.5 foot royal python. they are awesome lil snakes. I like to watch him eat... and i hold him alot more once i know he is on a full tummy. my son who is 2 really likes to touch him... he is learning how to care for him. he knows he has to be soft with the cat and dog. he is learning about the snake as well. How come people own Hamsters and rats? those smell and they bite most the time! but people do.!!!

That to me is like saying... why do people make children... they only cost so much money you cant afford anything else and they are ungreatful for everything you do anyways!

  4. That's like asking why all humans aren't exactly alike.

Obviously we all have different tastes in food, clothing, friends, and of course, animals.

A cat or a dog is the typical house pet . . . the norm. It's almost expected when you walk into a house to be welcomed by a dog or approached by a cat.

But I, personally, don't care for the norm all too much.

Snakes are low-maintenance; only need to feed them once every week or few weeks, they only go to the bathroom once or twice a month, and are very interesting to watch/handle. They don't require yearly shots, don't end up having major medical problems in their old age and barking/meowing isn't an issue. It takes very little to keep them happy and healthy.

Some prefer dogs, some cats and some . . . snakes.

  5. Hey remember me? It's not a good idea to be dissing snakes...as you could see on my other answer...most people agrees with me(all the snake lovers). If you don't like them then so be it. Most people don't like snakes anyways. But even so, you shouldn't say they are useless 'cause the only thing that is useless on here is you.

No one cares about you. And with your attitude, karma is going to kick you in the as* for it too.

*Well thanks for my 2 points!
