There has to still be a place that doesn't seem familiar...even rediscovering a place from your past can bring out new things you never noticed before...I'd give it some more time and try again, my wanderlust is too great for me to ever stop exploring... :)

If everything seems too familiar, that's a good reason to travel.  And if it's still seems familiar, that's a good reason to travel farther.

there is always something else to see, I have went to Michigan more times than I can remember, but I always see something new and enjoyable..

To experience something new. If you travel and it seems too familiar , you need to leave your comfort zone. Eat at a local rather than a chain restaurant, visit a historical place instead of an amusement park, and speak to the people who live where you are going, rather than to other tourist

There's a really dumb line in an otherwise pretty good song ("Name" by the Goo Goo Dolls) which goes like this:

"Don't it make you sad to think that life is more than who we are?"

No, it doesn't make me sad at all -in fact I find it envigorating. One of the great things about traveling is that you get to experience some wonderful things that are not part of who you are, things that are somewhat unfamiliar to you. Traveling is a great remedy for those times when everything seems too familiar, too uninspiring.

The most important thing for traveling is relax and enjoy yourself. maybe you can try to travel further or other places with different culture taste. Recommend you to travel my hometown-----tu lou building which is one of the world culture heritages in china. Country nature landscape would impress on you and mythic tu lou building would amaze you.
