What's the point of wearing my school uniform while I do homework?

Question

So my parents make me wear my school uniform until all my homework is done (Mon-Thurs). I'm free to watch TVor go out with friends, but I have to stay in my school uniform. I'm not even allowed to untuck my shirt or take off my tie.

This means I always end up eating dinner in my uniform, and wearing it until I go to bed (when I finish the last assignment). See, I don't like doing my homework right away, so I spread it out through the night. But I never missed an assignment and I have all A's and B's.

So is this fair? And what is the point of this?

Oh, and being in the same uniform for 15 hours isn't comfortable

sounds like your parents want you to do your homework and make you wear your uniform as a "motivation", I know how it can be, my parents can be weird about things too. basically either do your homework quickly or push your parents until they let you change after school, but that might not be a good idea depending on your parents. you could try talking to them about it, parents normally enjoy telling you why the make some rules or while they're explaining it they either realize there isn't a reason or it's stupid.

Oh that sucks, there is no point to doing so if you have the grades you should be able to where what you want . Seems like your in a convent sorry :/

That is pretty harsh, I understand the point they are trying to make, but it's a little extreme. I mean they are doing it, to teach you to get things done ahead of time, not wait until your going to bed to finish it. It's used for motivation guess. I like to spread things out too so I see what you mean. I would hate that. Also when you go places maybe they don't want you to choose what you wear b/c they are concerned that they wont like your clothing choice. I think there is room to meet in the middle... I think if you have good grades you can take off the uniform when you get home, but if your grades go below a B you have to wear the uniform for that semester, or until your grades are higher again. And geez can't even untuck it or take off the tie?!?!?! That's a little much I think!

You should say to them that you would like to have a family meeting and sit them down. If you act grown up they will listen more and react better.

Tell them that it's really not fair for you to stay in the uniform all day and when you get home from school you will be changing into your normal clothes. Unless they can come up with a logical reason why you should have to say in them, otherwise go change.

There is no point at all and it seems your parents are just getting off on the control aspect of it. The uniform does not enhance your skills in any way, shape, or form.

maybe they want you to get your homework done and this is their way
